Hi all!

I have a problem and need help. Last night while on my laptop (ibook g4) i accidently spilled water over the keyboard section. As soon as this happened I flipped the laptop over and unplugged everything. I tried cleaning up as much water as I could see, including taking off the keyboard part and wiping under it. I dont know how much water actually made it inside and now i have disassembled as much of it as i can( under the keyboard) so now its sitting next to my window to dry. I flipped it over so the air can go through it. Now my problem is i dont know what else to do. Should i just leave it to dry out and if yes for how much longer??? I cant afford to purchase a new computer and am wishing and hoping i can save this one :(. any help?? thanks.

You could also use the guides at ifixit.com to take the upper and lower case off to ensure a thorough drying. Either way, I'd give it at least 2-3 days off drying time before I tried powering it on.

Good luck!

That's a good suggestion. If you can get it open, you might try using a hair dryer on it too.

Water is not as bad as something like orange juice or soda with sugar in it. If you didn't fry something right away, you may be OK. :D
