selling dual 1.8 G5 questions

If you were going to sell the PM G5, I would say go with the MBP (=MacBook Pro

) , but if you keep the PM G5, you'll alway have that to do any heavy-duty work on. Save the $600.00+ bucks.

I am just thoroughly amazed at the longevity of my G5. I watched the various model G4s of friends last only a couple years before feeling sluggish and outdated but my 4 year old dual 1.8 still feels zippy and stable to me. The thing is a tank!

I just wonder at the experiences of other early G5 adopters since I am starting to see some failing G5 posts hitting the boards.

You want to make "her" feel like a new computer? Put a couple of 15,000RPM or 10,000RPM Raptor drives in there in a RAID 0 configuration.

Hey, my old PM G5 had over 14,000 HOURS on it when I sold it and it's still running 24/7 yet as a server--serving God for a church.
