I think I just got the shaft. I live in Florida, do not own a business, registered with
a Florida address, ordered Applecare with a Florida address, and had both Applecare and a new 2.5 delivered last Friday to Florida. Do I have any recourse, like asking for a Applecare refund from Apple?
You ordered a AppleCare and a G5 delivered to a Florida residence, that's not a problem.
You didn't successfully REGISTER AppleCare yet, this takes time.
When you register AppleCare this is where you need to put a buisness name, (a legit one) or what happens is a month or so down the road you get a rejection letter from Apple and you can opt to get a refund of the AppleCare.
My advice is to simply register a home based buisness with your local city for a small fee and use that when you register.
Or use your other "house" in another state. When you call AppleCare and request a part exchange for instance, they take your address where your presently located.
Registration address and shipping address are two different things. People take their computers with them all over, especially to Florida during the winter. As long as you don't register the AppleCare under a Florida home resident, your fine.
You most definatly want AppleCare.
You just have to work a bit harder in Florida to get it, that's all.
