Has anybody successfully run Sims 2 on an eMac 1.25?

Is it not working on one that you know of?

The eMac 1.25GHz is at the very minimum of the requirements...would probably run a little sluggishly. It gives my Dual 2GHz G5 a workout, but runs very well.

My wife plays Sims2 nearly every day on her 1.33GHz iBook G4 with 512MB of RAM. I've never heard a complaint from her.

The 512MB of RAM helps...is it the ATI Radeon 9200 or 9550 graphics?

I had to check to be sure. It is the Radeon 9200. Also, she has 768MB RAM, not 512.

768MB is even better! Games love RAM, just like OS X and Photoshop!

I haven't bought the game yet- it's a present for my daughter- just hoping it will run.

current RAM is 256- I'd better double that hadn't I?

Oh, I say more RAM yes. If you can get a 1GB stick it will love you for it!

It all went well for 2 weeks- but now it won't load up the chosen place, e.g. "pleasantville"-- progress stops after a couple of seconds with an egg-timer.

Any ideas?
