Have you ever met a complete stranger, because they saw your apple logo? Anyone have a personal story that somehow started with an apple logo ?

I do...

I put my apple sticker on the rear window of my vehicles, for several years now, and have had several strangers say "Ahh you're a "Mac guy eh?" (The "eh" part cause i live in canada)

However... once I met a pretty girl in the parkinglot of the Fido / Bongo Java on 21st ave in Nashville.

I was putting a tray of coffee on the passenger seat in my car for the lads at the studio, and as I walked around the back of the vehicle, a beautiful, sweet, young woman said to me... "I just bought an iMac last week, and i've actually fallen in love with a computer... I can't wait to get back home to it"

I was going to marry her right there, however.. we chatted about life, and art, and music, and how much computers have integrated into all of that, and how much more "Creative" the mac working environment was then windows.

She gave me her e-mail address, and I told her I'd e-mail her as soon as I got home, and we could continue our conversation over coffee, and spend some time, where I didn't have to go (The boys were waiting at the studio for me).

As soon as I got back to the studio, I went into the office, to log onto my e-mail, and mail her before the night got away on me, her e-mail address safely, and firmly wedged between the cream and sugar on the coffee tray.

Bass player walks in... grabs coffee... squeezes too hard... pops lid off, and squeezes half the coffee out, over the desk, tray, cream, sugar, HER E-MAIL.

couldn't be read... I tried light chalk... scanning and blowing up, adjusting gamma... it was soaked, and ruined.

Never got to e-mail her... I'd hang at that coffee shop as much as i could, that whole summer, hoping to run Into her... never did.

that was 2 years ago.

so now... the apple logo on my car has "I lost your e-mail" written inside it.

I think you should send that in to Macworld Letters. Maybe they'll publish it and she'll read it and destiny will be fulfilled.

That could be a movie script KingFish. Only you have to get the girl in the movie.

I put mine on my tax folder but maybe I should use it to pick up chicks.

I find it fun to apply them to McIntosh apples at the local grocery and McIntosh audio equipment at the local dealer.



Actually, I never used any of them - they are still pristine in the boxes.

mine are on the flightcase that my g5 is in, and one on my non-apple screen and one on the back of my car.

ive hepled lots of people buy and set up macs so in exchange i get their stickers...

Like inoah, I have one on my non-apple screen (sony) and one is on the flightcase for my lighting desk along with a whole bunch of stickers that people put on there advertising certain brands of alcohol - some i havn't even heard of!

Mine are "still in the box". Speaking of in the box, what good are those proof-of-purchase (?) coupons that come with the systems?

Mine is still in the box; But I bet it'd fit nice on my german vehicle.

I have a silverish expandable binder that has an apple sticker on it and people mistake it all the time for a laptop, heh.

(This binder has been in heavy use since my junior year of high school and i'm now a frosh in college, not sure if it's a really high quality binder or apple magic, I'm hoping apple magic.)

I put one on each of my guitar cases, and I'm putting one on my car this afternoon, and the last one...has no home as of right now.

i have a stack of 50 static rainbow apple logos, i dont use the stickers for anything, and after all the macs i've setup i have hundreds of the newer white logos, and tons of the original 2 types of rainbow deals (the single size and multi size sheets)....

but all i use are the static stickers on my car... and my families cars... and any other car i can sneak one into

In the back, lower left hand corner of my black PT Cruiser. The apple sticker is the white one.

I put it in my rear window. I want to advertise Apple to everyone. Because... I think... Apple is the only company worth advertising. ^^
