Hello all just stopped by to say the Attack Level and above of UT2004 has some new interesting features you going to love.

This game runs much better than UT2003, way way better. I have all the options on max, just a hair drag on the very large maps so far.

I also use a WD Raptor 74GB 10,000 RPM as a boot/app drive. So that may add a lot to help speed things up a bit. It loads in about 10 seconds to first screen.

I do have a problem with sound effects only coming from the right channel, so using headphones is out. Can anyone confirm?

Trying to see if it's my machine or? Please post your machine and if or if not. thanks post your reviews!

Frag on!

Hi
Just tryed the demo..

looks good... plays not so good.

A G5 1.8 brought to a slow grind.

I think the 9800 pro is required :(

Dual 2 Ghz, 1gb Memory, Dual 160 gb Seagate Barracuda's

All settings maxed, resolution on 1680 x 1050 (20" cinema display) with ATI 9600

NO LAG AT ALL!!! It takes about 10 seconds or so to load a map up. The game runs really well.

So does Call of Duty, btw.

Ugh, I wonder what it will look like on a Dual 2, 1.5GB RAM, w/ the nVidia 5200 (is that the stock video card for the 2GHz machines?)

I'm going to have to buy a new video card, aren't I?

Ugh...no gaming for a year.

Hi
your gonna be fine with a 5200 ultra it was better
than I dare expect! I suspect certain maps will vary though
on playablity. The real big ones for example.

Single 1.8 here with 1gig of ram, 5200 ultra.

so your going to be fine with it plus you can run the hack for
DP machines wich throws the audio stuff onto the 2nd CPU.

It is an excellent game I will end up hosting Gameranger
Games of Unreal 04...

Hi
I always find theres better players than me online BUT thats
the challenge to beat them.. I'm not bad on Halo and just lack
of playing Unreal 04 means I dont do to well...

Command and Conquer generals... I just suck

Uh well waiting months for UT2005 to save $30 is a valuable game time wasted. IMO.

The next big game coming is Doom3, should be awesome on my 30"

drool.
