Here is a great free backup utility that also works in conjunction with Carbon Copy Cloner. It has a scheduled backup feature and is easy to set up.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/psyncx

This seems to have almost dissappeared - the only mirror I could get a download from was University of Kent in England. So if you want a copy - go get it now, while stocks last as they say ;)

"This works in conjunction with Carbon Copy Cloner."

What does it do? I realize it sync's the two drives, but if Carbon Copy Cloner is making a clone of the drive, isn't that as "sync'd" as you can get?

Or does psync just schedule its process a little more efficiently than Carbon Copy Cloner?

Yes, for example, you can schedule & select any specific file or folder to backup. You can make multiple backups and schedule them at different times also. It's just more flexible. :D

Oh okay.

I'll go ahead and install that through Carbon Copy Cloner the next time I go to clone over.

For now I'm off to go write up a "HELP ME!" post about Widgets. =[
