In my neverending quest to keep my non-Intel Macs in tip-top shape, I have stumbled onto this site, and boy am I glad to be here. Given that Macs are used only in specialized fields here (mainly desktop publishing and audio/video work), it is almost impossible to find any offline help with regards to vintage material. So I probably might pepper some of the forums with all manners of questions, but I will also try to give back as much as I can!

Hello from the other side of the water, Japan. Got a pre-intel Mac myself. An eMac. Want it? Kind of heavy to carry back to Korea, I guess. Anyway, welcome to the forum. Japan was not as Mac friendly when I first got here, but things sure have changed! And I remember when they said iPhones would never catch on in Japan because they have all these crappy handsets that you can watch TV on and do a million other things really poorly for a short time before your phone just falls apart.
