'Macsuimum MacOSG Forums' URL is Changing - Bookmark It

'Macsuimum MacOSG Forums' are moving back to the MacOSG domain. The URL will be changing back to the original one listed below. Be sure to bookmark it.

Make sure your URLs point to http://macosg.com/group/

...not http://macosg.com/macosgforums/ or http://macsimumnews.com/macosgforums/

Trash all cookies that point to those last two URLs also.

Getting rid of the cookies is most important. I've was baffled for a day until I went and deleted the cookies. There may be other people equally messed up. And if you start at the macsimumnews.com page and click on forums you get the old URL still.

We are in the process of moving MacOSG off the MN server. You may experience some recent posts missing, but things should return to normal soon.

Go to your Safari preferences, select "Security" tab and click on "Show Cookies."

Then trash any Macsimum News cookies with phobb3 in them. You could also go search for macosg, delete all those cookies and start over.

All of the links to discussions on macsimumnews.com still point to the old URLs which appear to be the same as here but stuck in time (nothing beyond Monday shows).

A perfect thread to be spammed!

The now-inactive Macsimum MacOSG Forum site gets hit with a huge amount of spam, and every time spam hits a thread I had posted in I get an EMAIL! Unfortunately the email comes from same macosg.com address as valid email from the current forum site so I can't filter it. :cry:

Is there any way that old site can be put out of its misery?

Glad you found this! :shock:

This page was connected to a domain I was testing the site on a long time ago. I had deleted all the files off the server, but for some reason, they were still coming up. I contacted the host and they took care of it. Maybe this will help cut down on spam.
