moving files and apps between Mac, iphone, and ipad

I was wonder if anyone could help me on this...

-I got a PowerMac G5, and all my stuffs, apps, podcasts,etc from my iphone and ipad were sync with this computer
-I just bought a MacBook Pro (yeah....) and was unable to move my stuffs from the old Mac to the new one
-I understand iTunes won't allow user to sync stuffs between two different computers...but is there any way to get around it?
-Is it true that I can go inside the iTunes folder or a specific folder and locate the stuffs that I want and move to the new Mac?

Any help is appreciated!

You can manually copy files from the iTunes library, or wait for the release of OS X Lion and IOS 5 and have it done automatically.

Michael, I think migration assistant would be the best way to go ,no?

Migration Assistant is one way of manually transferring the files, with the added advantage of copying album artwork, etc., though I think that the username must be the same on both machines.

I think it will create a new account for you, should the account on the new machine be different to the old one, but I may be mistaken.

I think given the simplicity of migration assistant and the (presumed) volume of files, my recommendation is definitely for migration assistant
