I use two browsers, Firefox and Safari. In the past, both have allowed me to sign in with Apple discussions but suddenly, Firefox does not. I have made no changes to the ID and password in either case, which are stored, but Firefox version of the Apple sign in process now tells me that my ID or password was incorrectly entered and invites me to reset. This I have tried to do but keep getting a message that I am 'timed out' after but a few seconds.

Yet Safari still allows me to sign in as normal with the same details.

Okay; I have the benefits of macOSG when I need to know something, and I could forget Firefox and simply use Safari but that isn't the point. I'd like to find out why my ID status via Firefox appears to be corrupted. The ID and password details in Firefox / preferences / security are listed as they should be. I have tried using the Firefox reset button.

Would anyone know what could have happened or how to resolve this situation?

I think the problem is in their system. I have been having problems logging in there too the last few months, and I am using Safari. I tried FF and Flock and they gave me problems too.

Thank you for your reply, Bmer.

The system does not recognise my ID/password nor on the security screen, my birth date.
As Apple do not divulge information about passwords is there an alternative link to contact someone to explain the problem or can I re-register? As Safari is okay for the moment I ponder the necessity … but?

Thank you for your advice.

Go put a post here. Apple Discussion mods monitor this forum. Maybe they can help. Otherwise I would just reregister.
