Hulu added to MacOSG

You can now access Hulu from MacOSG to watch free movies and TV shows. You can access it here.

http://macosg.com/hulu.html

There is also a link in the "MacOSG Main Menu" on the homepage.

You can also embed a Hulu video in a MacOSG post. Just copy the embed code from the video at Hulu. It will look something like this:

<object width="512" height="296"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/KjHu8pIHETyb9Whq4WWNuA"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/KjHu8pIHETyb9Whq4WWNuA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" width="512" height="296"></embed></object>

Then remove all the code except the link to the video highlighted above. Note: There are two identical links. You only need to keep one. Take that link and put it in your post, like below.

http://www.hulu.com/embed/KjHu8pIHETyb9Whq4WWNuA

Image

Now highlight the link and click on the "hulu" tab above. It will look like this with the hulu tags at each end. :

That's all there is to it. Give it a try and post your favorite movie or TV show. :D

Below is a 1953 movie called "The Conquest of Everest."

Great unless you live outside the us.

I think you need to set up some way for your friends up North to watch!!

Sorry, I didn't check that, but I wonder if you can access it using a US proxy IP? There is an application called NetShade that provides public proxy IPs.

Watch CNET TV from our homepage today. It has a demo on how to surf blocked websites. :D

Is what legal? Accessing a blocked website? If you are trying to access a website in the US from China (that is blocking the site), it's probably illegal there then.

I live in S. America and am unable to access any videos on Hulu, or any of the networks (they are always "unavailable for my area"). I always thought that getting in in any other way was illegal. When I ask my computer savvy teenage son to help me find the shows I want to watch online because they are unavailable here he always tells me that yes, he can get what I want but that I shouldn't ask how! I was just wondering, that's all.

You can download a lot of audio and video files via BT, like Talmy is referring to, but if you have trouble accessing sites, try masking your IP via a proxy using Hotspot Shield.

Bmer, I was looking at Netshade to which the link was posted earlier, but it will reconfigure something or other on your computer. Does that cause any other problems with your computer to have it reconfigured? Truthfully, I don't know what it is that's reconfigured, but I wasn't sure I wanted to do that just to watch some TV on my computer. Is the Hotspot Shield like that? How complicated is it to use?

I remember now that my son used/uses the bit torrent quite alot. I was always a bit suspicious about it, but am guessing there's no problem with legality since so many people use it?

Try using the Hotspot Shield first. You shouldn't have to reconfigure anything. It does it for you. A lot of files on BT are pirated/cracked.

Bmer,
I downloaded the Hotspot Shield to try it out. I installed it, but there is no icon or anything on my desktop (shouldn't there be?). when I go to the applications and click on the icon there I just get the installer dialog which I already did. How do I get to the page that you show that has the options of connecting?

There should be a red icon in your menu bar, just left of the Spotlight icon.

Thanks! I uninstalled everything then redid the download and installation. It's now there. Don't know what went wrong the first time.

Hi Bmer, after a few years today I tried the program HotSpot, it works ok, I was able to watch a few shows, here in Australia, my question is why are all the torrent downloads stop? is this a bug or is normal?
Thank you.
