I've been a mobileme member for a while. LIke it lots. Thing is, there is some functionality I lose at school because of security settings/proxy settings/etc. One thing I have not been able to do is set up my mobileme mail in Mail as a IMAP account. So I access my mail on the web through Safari. This keeps everything synced among my 2 computers at home and one at school. Thing is, working with my Email through Safari at school is reeaally slow. And when I go to reply to most of my Emails, I am unable to go into the body of the Email I am replying to and delete bits or insert replies here and there within the body of the original Email. Anybody know why this is? Thanks in advance.

Eddie - I don't know if you got this sorted out yet, but I just became a MobileMe user, and initially had some mail issues.

I went to the support site, and started a live chat, and actually got the MobileMe mail to work with their help. Frankly, I think the mail feature may be a bit dodgy. But I've only had it set up for one day.

Be sure you are logged into MobileMe by checking it in your system preferences. If you are, then go into mail -> Accounts.

If you have a Mobileme account already set up (and know your settings) try deleting it, then try creating it again. You may get the correct setup, i.e. MobileMe IMAP. If not - try the live chat. Worked for me! Good Luck!

Thanks mikemac.
I've got the thing working. No problems there. I am just peeved at my school because they have all these security measures that prevent me from setting up my MobileMe Mail as an IMAP account. I can set it up fine as a POP account, but then my mail on my school computer and that on my home computer won't be synced. So what I do is, I access my mail from Safari, which works, but is slow.

Eventually, my eMac at school will die, and I may replace it with my MBP, which of course is more mobile, but even then, I would like to have the mail on my MBP be synced with that on my home desktop (iMac). Anyway, that my own little issue. Appreciate your message.
