Am trying to create a website that will contain information about local high school golf programs- area schools, area courses, post new tournaments, past results, local courses / driving ranges, etc. Site would have to have ability to update on daily/weekly basis. Would also need ability to me to get information from outside sources. i.e. coaches sending me tournament invitations to post. Website would have to be available 24/7 without me having to leave my computer on 24/7. [Saw Bmer's old post about using native OS Apache system to create website ala this forum & his G5. Don't like idea of keeping machine on line 24/7. Security issues, for a start.] Would like to use iWeb to create the site. Not sure on how to publish, though.
Think I've got 3 choices: 1.] publish through a MobileMe account. [can get family acct of MobileME for about $100.00 through MacOSG Apple Store.] 2.] publish through 2nd party site [e.g. GoDaddy.com]. 3.] Do combination of both. Went to local Apple store this AM. Genius-bar aide suggested that I store site info on MobileMe, then buy domain name from other site then link 2 together.
Any advice about the above choices that you can share with me?
