Like many MobileMe gave me 90 days free.Well upon checking the balances on my accounts I discovered a pending transaction from MobileMe a month before they were supposed to.This kinda stuff is making me consider not renewing the service.Anyone else having similar issues? And who do I complain to?they didn't have to give me an extension however to "give" one and take the money ahead of time just tweaks my tolerance to the breaking point.

Are they actually taking the money early? When my .Mac account came up for renewal about a month before MoboilrMe was announced I think I got a notice about a month ahead that looked like they had already made the transaction. Upon closer reading I realized the notice was set to take effect about a month early.

There is a pending transaction on my credit card.According to my account info on MobileMe I'm scheduled to renew January 24 2009.Fortunately there's room on the card but why so early?

That's what I thought but didn't explain well. No I have not hit the Christmas egg nog yet :)

As far as why it is done that way, I suspect it is to give users time to make changes to the method of payment before the service contract expires. Say, for example, of you needed to update payment information because the current credit card had expired.

Strange!

Mine renews on Jan 9, 2009 and I don't have a "pre-charge" on my credit card.

If you want to talk to Apple about the charge you can try the "Live Chat" feature. I have had good luck what it.

I don't have mine set to charge my non-existent credit card and it seems to be right on schedule. I got a notice about a month ago saying I had about a month to go. I'll have to renew by Dec. 30. - extended from Sept 30.
