Every time I try to do this.......
Uploading to Other Users Public Folder

File starts to load. Continues for a short time and then I get..

The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "" could not be read or written. (Error code -36)

Note. These files are NOT large files.
Happens EVERY time.javascript:emoticon(':(')

When you say "Uploading," do you mean copying a file to another user's Public folder on the same computer, or is this a network file transfer to another computer?

File transfer to another computer via a network is what I'm trying to do.
Thank you for your interest.

Inside the Public folder, there should be a Drop Box folder for this purpose. You should be able to read files from another user's Public folder, but not write, add, or delete. You can add files to the Drop Box, but cannot view them after putting them in there. There is also a Shared folder in /Users. In this folder, everyone has read/write permissions.
