Can I upgrade?

I've got an eMac running OSX 10.3.9. It has a 1.25 GHz Power PC GE processor with 768 MB memory. I want to upgrade to OSX 5. That version is no longer available from Apple but I can get it from eBay. Has anyone any ideas as to whether OSX 5 will work on my eMac and has anyone got a surplus copy they are willing to sell me?

Leopard will run on your eMac, but very poorly. I tried it on a Mac Mini withn 1.25 GHz G4 and 1 GB of RAM. After a few days, I went back to Tiger. 10.4 runs well, and should also be available on eBay.

I concur with Michael
I have a 1.25 ibook and it seems better suited on Tiger 4.11 than Leopard 5.8.
Tiger is much better than Panther 3.9 so you will gain some benefit from upgrading.
