What do you all think of Jobs taking a medical leave?

The press is going to have a field day (speculation, speculation, speculation) with this. I can see the headlines already. 'Is Steve Jobs on his way out--for good this time?" :roll:

I think I'll just wait and see what happens.

I'm sure he has good reasons for this and can only hope it's temporary. After the last two times though I have a lot more confidence in the viability of Apple even if Steve decides to make the leave permanent.

I am more worried about Steve's health than anything else. Has me kind of concerned.

Am with Rick though, lets wait and see what ends up happening.

While I certainly hope he recovers and returns to Apple, I think that Apple will still thrive without him.

I agree, Talmy. The talent is there. The way I look at it, even if Jobs knew he was terminal, he could still draw up a blueprint of what he visions in the future for they guys to strive for. In a way, he's kind of even done that already with all the patents Apple has, and keeps applying for. Being as demanding as he is, he's the driving force pushing them to get unique products to market first--like the iPod and iPad.
