LARRY DANIEL aka OZARKSHOME
Podcaster/Product Reviewer (USA)
Professional Experience: Larry
has been the president of The Daniel Company of Springfield
since 1973, about the same time as he started with computers,
a TRS-80. He has had kind of a love hate relationship with computers
ever since, mainly on IBM or MS platforms. In early 2005 he
stumbled into the local Apple dealer and saw a G5 with 30"
screen after previously buying his wife a 20" iMac. No
hate since.
He and his wife are real estate agents for Murney Associates
and love helping folks from around the world and the U.S. find
homes in the Ozarks. They have been in real estate since the
very early 1990's. They were among the very first real estate
agents to have a presence on the WWW in Missouri and the U.S.
You can find them at www.OzarksHome.com.
From Larry Daniel: I can't
wait to turn on the G5 every morning. Reading the local, national,
world and Mac news starts my day. I have not been as excited about
computers since hand coding HTML in the early '90s and getting
pages up on the Web so they could be seen anywhere in the world.
Netscape was great for the Web, Apple and MacOSG are great for
computer lovers. |

RICK PRATHER aka RickPrather
Podcaster (USA)
Professional Experience: Area Service
and Parts Operations Manager for an import automobile importer.
Over 30 years in the automobile industry in a variety of jobs
mainly centering around field technical assistance or technician
training. Also spent ten years owning a race car dealership
and race team management operation in the Chicago area..
From Rick Prather: "Since
October 2004 I have been on Long Term Disability after suffering
a bout with Guillain Barré Syndrome and therefore have
been able to devote almost full time to one of my two favorite
hobbies - Macs. The other favorite being Ham Radio. I have been
using home computers since the original TRS-80 days. Over the
years I have also had Atari 400's, 800's and, when I wanted
some of the benefits of the Mac but was too cheap to buy one
in the mid '80's, I had a couple or Atari ST's. Then over the
next fifteen years or so I wound up with almost all varieties
of Intel based computers and used every version of Windows since
3.0. In 2001 I finally decided to buy that Mac I had wanted
since '84 and got a Cube. Loved it, then a PowerBook followed
by a Dual G5 2.3. In 2006 I decided to join the Intel revolution
by replacing my G5 with a 2.0 Ghz CoreDuo iMac and replaced
Powerbook with a 2.0 MacBook. I am enjoying the interaction
on the forum and have also enjoyed working with the MacOSG Podcast
crew for over 100 podcasts." |

MIC GAZELY aka micgaz
Podcaster (UK)
Professional Experience: Mic has
spent 15 years working in the printing industry, mostly silk-screen
printing. Initially as a printer, then moving onto the graphics
department. He is responsible for preparing artwork for the
print process, as well as the production of the silk-screens
themselves. He's currently working for a horticultural college
in London as a Caretaker. He's responsible for building maintennance,
security and anything else they can throw at him.
From Mic Gazely: "Being
relative newcomer to the world of Mac, I am absolutely astonished
by my Power Mac G5. The impact on my life has been incredible
-- not to just me either. My enthusiasm has spread to my Dad,
who is now learning double-quick and keeping me on my toes with
tech questions like "how do I do this?" sessions over
iChat. Some of these questions I can answer, but the rest I
read up about on the Number One resource for all things Apple
on the Web, MacOSG. It's a place I am proud to be a part of
and hope our podcast can help other Mac "newbies"
like me."
